    McKenzie was approached by the majority shareholders of Visual Bible International Inc., in January of 2001 to examine the prospect of restructuring and re-capitalizing this unique public (NASDAQ / OTC - BB) film company. Assumed the role as Interim CEO in June of ‘01. Successfully stabilized and repositioned the company for refinancing in February 2002. Subsequently, Visual Bible Int. raised $11M thereby producing and releasing, THE GOSPEL OF JOHN, as a feature film. McKenzie then terminated his contract to pursue many other prospects unfolding within the AMG enterprise.

Based in a proprietary 140,000’ complex in Burlington, CCCI includes over 150 staff. The role evolved during a 20-month tenure to include the “team-leader”

    A stabilized camera systems division of WESCAM (TSE) for aerial cinematography and newsgathering in the Sports and Entertainment fields. Managed approximately 250 staff, generating top-line revenue of $20M+. McKenzie’s mandate was to create a diversified business development plan, a global market development, and sales strategy, and to consolidate several new acquisitions. Successfully hit 12-month targets, achieving divisional structural, product, and sales goals, managing the division through its offices, staff, and strategic partners in Canada, the US, and throughout Europe. Left WESCAM to establish a media business development firm called Advanced Media Group Corp.

    In 1995, Maclean Hunter was acquired by Rogers Communications, and Magnetic Enterprises was offered for sale along with other ‘non-core” Maclean assets. McKenzie continued in his role as President, of Magnetic Enterprises, pending the closure of a sale. Maintained the integrity and value of the asset through heightened sales (3, branch sites / 150+ people), and sustainable profitability while assisting Rogers in the asset sale process. In July of 1996 Rogers, then realizing the value of the organization, decided to maintain the business within the context of its own broadcast group, and McKenzie resigned to assume the role at WESCAM.

    Magnetic Enterprises Inc. encompassed four leading video and audio postproduction companies including MASTER’S WORKSHOP and MAGNETIC NORTH, employed over 150 persons, and spanned 3 branch office facilities based in and around Toronto, generating consolidated top-line revenues exceeding $15M. During four year term in this role, formed and led an operational, marketing, and sales team in bringing about a multi-million dollar bottom line turnaround for the company while restoring “MAGNETIC” to its rightful place as the leading company in its field in Canada. Initiator and Executive Producer (1991) of “Maclean’s Interactive” (a CDROM “Pilot” project for Maclean’s Magazine)

    A multi-award winning and leading music and postproduction studio. A world leader in process and technology innovation and servicing for postproduction sound. Built MASTER’S WORKSHOP from its inception to become Canada’s largest sound and music production studio in 1988 at the time of its sale to Selkirk Communications / Maclean Hunter Ltd. Based on the development of proprietary new technologies, co-founded a separate engineering and manufacturing firm known as Soundmaster International Inc. Under leadership, MASTER’S WORKSHOP became a world leader in the field of computer-assisted or “electronic” sound editing and mixing for television and film. Led team to provide production and postproduction recording and mixing services for many world-class artists including Liona Boyd (Live in Cuba), YES, Saga, The Police, The Band, and The Guess Who. In 1980, formed a production/publishing company with the renowned Skip Prokop (Co-founder of the band Lighthouse) that led to the production of The Lighthouse Reunion Live at the Ontario Place Forum. In 1981, McKenzie / Prokop formed a touring band and recorded an album entitled Nobody’s Children, raising over $250,000 for World Vision Canada’s Project 5000 campaign.
