Easter Message

Greetings to you in Jesus’ holy name during this time of remembrance and celebration at Easter. He is risen indeed! This is also a time of choices. God has chosen us to share His faith and His suffering that we might believe in the One by whose stripes we are eternally healed.

Additionally, it is a time to remember our First Love as we, like so many others who believe, once chose Jesus as our only hope of salvation. He never gave up on us and, therefore, we must choose to persevere with Him...no matter what the cost.

Many times, I’ve pictured Jesus carrying a cross that was by any natural standard too hard to bear. Every step taken by Jesus toward Calvary required a decision of faith...a choice to carry on and follow through while knowing that He could have ended the torment with just a word spoken at any time. Had He done so, God’s plan would have failed and all of creation would have collapsed upon itself.

Today, you and I can choose to follow Him – one step of faith at a time – to the crest of that fateful hill and that old rugged cross upon which the Prince of Glory died for us all...gloriously rising again on the third day.
